  • Nagging, 2024, A rectangular stretched textile piece composed of about 30 thin, alternating crimson and white stripes of fabric. The stripes extend from the left side of the piece at a downward diagonal of about 15 degrees. Approximately ⅘ of the way across the piece, the stripes are interrupted by a sharp diagonal line. To the right of the line, red and white stripes are offset, so that the ends of each stripe don’t quite line up, and they continue at a slightly less acute angle. The angle and size of the stripes is taxing on the viewer’s eye, and the piece is difficult to look at for extended periods. This piece is 7” wide by 5” tall.

  • Nauseating, 2024, An abstract square stretched textile piece composed of many crimson and white stripes of fabric. The stripes themselves are uniform thickness, but are assembled into groups ranging from 3-20. These groups are overlaid upon each other at a variety of competing angles, creating a sense of perpetual motion and giving the viewer’s eye no place to rest. Strings of red thread can emerge from the piece at various points but create no distinct shape. There is a thin border of alternating red and white fabric around the edge of the piece. This piece is 8” wide by 8” tall.

  • Agonizing, 2024, An abstract rectangular stretched textile piece composed of red and white stripes of fabric. The stripes of this piece vary in thickness and include multiple shades of red.
